St. Jane's Island and we have contact with Destiny

Going across the Chesapeake Bay you have to go through two tunnels below the water.

As soon as we cross we stopped at Sting Ray's for lunch, it was good.
We made it Janes Island State Park and unhitched Tweety.
Next we traveled to the boat. You can see that the bottom has been sand blasted and painted with two barrier coats. It will get on more tomorrow and a hard coat of red bottom paint. Then it will get an

Ablative  blue paint over that.

 Destiny's bottom looks nice.
Smooth and ready for the final coats
We are fascinated by the Skipjacks. They have been repairing this one all winter. You can see the new transom
 This is the old transom.
 These boats are still used.
 What a great looking boat.
This one has been restored too, look at the size of that boom.
Helen Virginia was in the water and ready to go.
Another view of the Helen Virginia.
The skipjack were very functional boats. They have very shallow draft and they are used daily.
As the sun sets the boats are coming home.
 It is going
 Going
Gone
