Ninja turtle crossing the sidewalk. We got this for our Grandson Corbin who loves Ninja Turtles
We visited Flagler College. If you ever come to St. Augustine make sure you take a tour. They are offered at 10 am and 2 pm
This is a painting that Flagler did when he married his third wife. who was much younger. He had the artist make him younger and her older.
Mrs. Flagler is shown older. After he passed she was the richest woman in America. She married a man from Indiana and then suddenly died. Some think maybe the new husband had something to do with her death but who knows the truth.
We had lunch at Crave, the third best resturant in St. Augustine according to Travel Advisor. It is wonderful, a must stop. You will not believe how good it is.
Crave is just a trailer on a lot of a marina. It reminds me of Cheers, the people are so nice and the food so good. Make sure you share a wrap.
Next we visited St. Augustine Distillers. This is an interesting business. It is in an old ice house building and started a couple of years ago. It uses local produce to make their products. This business is so new that their bourbon is not yet ready for tasting. Guess this will be a must do for next year so we can taste their bourbon whiskey.
Their first batch of bourbon is in the barrels right now.
Looking across the Bridge of the lions toward St. Augustine.
You can see the Fort behind the sailboats.
A large tall ship docked and getting painted.
Us on our way to the top of the St. Augustine lighthouse. It is 261 steps.
We made it to the top.
The view is fantastic.
Cool picture of the shadow of the lighthouse from the top.
A lot of steps in the lighthouse.
This is us looking into a mirror with the lighthouse in the background. A thunder storm is approaching and they closed the lighthouse. We had to ride our bike a few miles to Tweety. We made it and then it stormed. All is well.
