Our first night was a Salt Springs Recreational Area in Ocala National Forrest. It is about 200 miles from Punta Gorda.
Tweety is trying on a new awning that Becky made. Looked good and very colorful.
The water was nice and cool and very clear as it comes out of a crevice. 52 million gallons a day. It was neat to swim right over the output of all that water.
The grounds were very pretty with live oak trees.
The springs had a little island just behind Becky.
The depth of the swimming area was anywhere from 3 foot to very deep where the water comes out.
We also saw a small alligator on the far wall. People were getting very close to it in the water, pretty stupid if you ask me..
