Point Lookout Marina had a huge butterfly bush.
They also had free bikes that you could use. Too bad they all had flat tires.
We rode our bikes to the town of Ridge,MD  about 3 miles each way.
On the way back we stopped to have a beer and oysters at Courtney's. This is a step back in time. Mr. and Mrs. Courtney own and operate 12 months a year.   He catches the fish and oysters and she cooks them. Do not expect fast service, but the food and conversation was good.
 From the front.
Rated number one by travel advisor, but there are only 3.
Today we motored up St. Mary's River to St. Mary's City. Also the college of St. Mary's where these flowers were growing

If you look closely you can see our boat from the College boat house.
The Dove is docked here. It is a replica of a boat that brought early settlers to this area in the 1600's.
The first capital of Maryland was in St. Mary's city. Here you see one of the first kings.
This is inside the capital building.
 This is the capital building
This is what happens if you impersonate a public official.
Now we could tickle her feet.
You have to be careful what you say around here.
One of the many pretty windows in the capital building
Windvane at the top of the building
 The Dove up close.
Another tall ship, Sultana, right behind our anchorage.
